La Porte County fire destroys home

La Porte County, Ind. -- ABC 57 was on the scene of yet another fire this week. This time in Kankakee Township. It happened around 10:30am at a home on Fail Road.
Accoding to the fire chief, the family who lived in the home wasn't inside when the fire started. He says the fire was on the second floor of the home, and spread to the garage. The home is a total loss.
Firefighters also said they had trouble fighting this fire due to high winds.
The Fire Chief says the State Fire Marshall will he on the scene today to determine the cause of the fire.
