GOSHEN, Ind.---Fourteen Goshen area homes received major renovations thanks to Lacasa’s Help-A-Home Work Day. More than 200 volunteers helped out with the event.
Lacasa raised nearly $125,000 for the event.
“I wanted to thank Lacasa and all the volunteers, who came out today to help us and our house is looking great,” said Shelia Miller, one of the home owners who was chosen for the renovations.
Volunteers assisted homeowners in landscaping, trash removal, demolition, window replacements, roofing and accessibility projects.
“It helped out a lot because I definitely wouldn’t be able to do this by myself,” said Miller.
This was the 29th year for the event.
