Lane restrictions to take effect Saturday for Notre Dame traffic
Lane restrictions and traffic pattern changes will take effect on Saturday for the home Notre Dame game against Michigan State.
The St. Joseph County Department of Public Works says western most southbound lane on Twyckenham will be closed 100 feet north of Edison Road, extending as far north as Vaness Road from 7:00 a.m. Saturday until 7:00 a.m. Sunday.
A single lane will be open to maintain southbound traffic between Douglas Road and Edison Road.
According to officials, the closure is for charter bus parking during the football game.
All traffic during the event will be monitored and controlled by the Indiana State Police, the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department, and the South Bend Police Department.
City officials say it should be anticipated that this configuration will carry over and be in utilized for all home games.
