SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A fire was reported at Hurwich Farms Apartments around 3:30 a.m., Tuesday.

The South Bend Fire Department responded to the structure fire in the 3800 block of Morgan Street to find fire in the attic space.

Fire officials say this extended between the apartment walls.

All apartment residents evacuated safely, and the fire was brought under control quickly.

The report states four apartment units were affected, leaving seven residents displaced.

No injuries have been reported.

Investigators say the fire may be related to lightning in the area at the time.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
