Local Dancing with our Stars returns

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Center for the Homeless is getting ready to host this year's Dancing with our Stars and local celebrities will be participating again this year.

You may recall our own Brian Dorman took part last year.  If you would like to watch last year’s event, it can be seen on YouTube.

Last year the event raised more than $400,000 to support the center.

This year marks the sixth year for the event.

"The Center for the Homeless has a $31-million operating budget. We have 200 people that live on site at all times," said Taya Groover, Chief Development Officer. "So that $41 is very important so we can keep changing people’s lives and offering hope."

The event is being held at the Hilton Garden Inn this Friday.

The Dancing with Our Stars is already sold out but you can still vote online which does require a donation.
