SOUTH BEND, Ind. – People across Michiana were seen wearing green noses on Friday to show their support for The Great Logan Nose-On.
The Logan Center partnered with Notre Dame Federal Credit Union for the fundraiser that helps raise awareness for people with disabilities.
The Nose-On event began back in 1988 and has become one of the community’s favorite traditions.
The non-profit group came up with the unusual idea of selling green foam noses to raise money and awareness for those with developmental disabilities.
"No matter what someone looks like or what their abilities are, that they're important and they make contributions to all of us around us," said Matt Harrington, the President and CEO of Logan Center.
Those wishing to purchase a green nose for the cause can buy one at the Logan Center in South Bend or at any of the Notre Dame Federal Credit Union branches.
