SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Get your forks ready, Mac & Cheese lovers! 

Downtown South Bend will be hosting 'Mactoberfest' on Thursday, October 19. 

16 local restaurants will be participating in the event, which will have shades of Octoberfest (lots of beer will be on hand) with unique mac & cheese creations.

The festivities begin at 5 p.m. EST and continues until 9 p.m. EST. 

Prizes will be awarded for the best tasting and most creative mac & cheese dishes. The restaurant with the best mac & beer pairing (ideally enjoyed separately) will also be rewarded. 

Wristbands cost $40 for those who plan to eat and drink and $25 for hungry designated drivers.
