Man accused of killing girlfriend in Southwest Michigan headed to court

New this morning, a man accused of killing his girlfriend and then leaving her body near the roadway in Southwest Michigan is headed to court.


 Thirty-year-old, Jorge Cardenes was charged with murder. His live-in girlfriend Kim Whitestout was found strangled to death in a Cass County field.


 He is being held without bond, in the St. Joseph County Jail. Police say Cardenes is also wanted by immigration and Customs Enforcement. His trial is set for Sept. 12th.
