Man accused of violating protective order, hitting man with bottle

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- A man has been arrested in connection with a fight that happened at a bar on April 1. The prosecutor's office says this case was developed while investigating the shooting death of Lateisha Burnett on the same day.

Kenneth Dogan, 41, has been charged with invasion of privacy and battery with a deadly weapon.

On April 1, Dogan's former girlfriend posted a Facebook Live video of her birthday celebration at Cheer's Pub. Dogan commented on the post, "Wow" and "WTF," according to the probable cause affidavit.

Dogan then went to the pub and confronted his former girlfriend and became aggressive, reports said.

The victim's cousin approached in an attempt to protect the victim.

Dogan hit the victim's cousin in the head with a glass bottle, reports said.

The probable cause affidavit states Dogan has been charged with domestic battery with the same victim and there was a current No Contact Order in the case.

The state has requested a  15 day hold because the alleged crimes happened while Dogan was on probation.

The prosecutor's office says Dogan has not been charged in connection with Burnett's death. The investigation into that shooting is ongoing.
