Man arrested after allegedly drinking 28 beers at Snappy Food Mart

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- A man was arrested at a convenience store after allegedly drinking over two dozen beers without paying for them, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the Snappy Food Mart on SR 13 and located 22-year-old Carlos Carranza Rodriguez intoxicated inside the store, reports said.

Rodriguez allegedly drank 28 beers inside the food mark, but did not pay for the alcohol.

Rodriguez was taken to the hospital for medical clearance.

He was then transported to the Elkhart County Jail on preliminary charges of public intoxication and theft.
