Man charged with 1988 murder of Mishawaka student appears in court

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A man charged with murdering a high school girl over 25 years ago was in court Monday for a hearing.
Phillip Geans is accused of killing Theresa Burns in 1988.
Burns was found dead in her home with multiple gunshot wounds to the head. She was a sophomore at Mishawaka High School.
Geans' trial is anticipated to begin on June 23rd.
