Man found dead at Michigan City home

 MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- It's normally a quiet historic Michigan City neighborhood -- that was quite a buzz Thursday night.

According to police, a homicide happened on the 500 block of E. 8th Street. Neighbors and police tell ABC57 News it happened around 6:30 a.m.

When we arrived on scene, neighbors were still in shock, and would not go on-camera. Over a dozen people all gave the same answer -- they're afraid of retaliation.

Neighbors said the guy who lived in the house was a nice man, who kept to himself; they're sad to see him go.

MIchigan City Police are still investigating the homicide.
