Man found guilty of murder in deaths of Malik Balderos, Ricky Kinds, Jr.

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - A 24-year-old Illinois man was found guilty of murder Friday in connection with the deaths of two South Bend men in October 2020, according to the St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office.
Tyrik Rayford of Sauk Village was found guilty of one count of murder, one count of conspiracy to commit murder and a firearm enhancement.
He will be sentenced on April 21.
The sentencing range for murder is 45 to 65 years.
The sentencing range for conspiracy to commit murder is 20 to 40 years.
The sentencing range for a firearm enhancement is five to 20 years.
UPDATE: In May 2023, Rayford was sentenced to 75 years in prison. Rayford was given 55 years for murder and 30 years for conspiracy to commit, which will be served concurrently. He was also given 20 years for a firearm enhancement, which will be served consecutively to the two other charges.
