Man killed during Bangor 4th of July parade

BANGOR, Maine — An accident  soured Bangor's Independence Day celebrations after a tragic accident resulted in the death of man.

Police say the driver of an antique fire truck lost control of the vehicle and ran over the back of an antique John Deere tractor. The driver of the tractor was killed instantly.

The parade route was changed at the last minute, because of a shooting on the original route.

Police have not released the name of the victim.
