Man killed in accident with charter bus identified

LAPORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- The man who was killed in a collision with a Royal Excursion bus in LaPorte County on New Year's Day has been identified.
John Kallok, 36, was driving his pickup truck on US20 in LaPorte County when the truck struck a Royal Excursion bus carrying approximately 50 people.
The bus was coming from the Four Winds Casino when the accident happened.
The coroner says Kallok died of blunt force trauma.
The driver of the bus was credited with preventing more injuries by taking the bus through a ditch and into a field, keeping the bus upright.
