Man pleads no contest to criminal sexual conduct

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- A Berrien County man pleaded no contest to criminal sexual conduct with a person under the age of 13, according to the prosecutor's office.
Brian VanHorn was charged on March 10 with one count of criminal sexual conduct for sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl.
VanHorn pleaded no contest as part of a plea agreement. The other charges against him, OWI and a probation violation, were dismissed as part of the plea agreement.
VanHorn will serve a minimum of 15 years in prison as part of the agreement.
He will be sentenced on November 28.
