Man accused of running from courthouse after jail sentencing

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. - A man ran from a Marshall County court on Monday after being sentenced to 60 days in jail for contempt of court, according to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office.

Devonte Gunn, 31, of South Bend, allegedly ran from the Marshall County Circuit Court courthouse following his sentencing.

Gunn was eventually caught and taken to the hospital for medical evaluation.

He was then booked into the Marshall County Jail for contempt of court and additional charges of resisting law enforcement and escape, reports said.
