Man struck by object that flew through his windshield

A driver in La Porte County was traveling along I-94 Friday morning when he was hit by something that flew off a semi.
The incident happened just after 7:00 a.m. on Friday.
A 9 inch chunk of a leaf spring flew off a semi truck and into a man’s windshield while he was driving behind the semi.
After going through the windshield, the leaf spring hit him near his right eyebrow.
Troopers say he is expected to be okay.
