ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Maple City Ice Bowl, a disc golf tournament based out of Goshen, raised more than $26,000 for The Window Inc., a food pantry that provides meals and clothing for families looking for support.
The need for The Window's services has nearly doubled since the pandemic and the pantry now serves an average of more than 900 families per month.
Each disc golfer in Saturday morning's tournament donated a minimum of $50 to The Window Inc. to participate.
The total for the entire event is expected to continue to rise as the Ice Bowl nears their goal of raising $30,000.
