Marian High School MISHAWAKA, Ind.-- After 16 years of coaching at Marian High School, Head Football Coach Mike Davidson has decided to retire in order to spend more time with his family.
During his time with Marian High School, Davidson spent the last eight years as the head football coach. During that time, he led the Knights to four NIC Championships, four sectional championships, and three regional titles.
Coach Davidson was named the Northern Indiana Conference Coach of the Year in both 2019 and 2020.
"Coach Davidson has been an integral part of our athletic program," said Athletic Director Steve Ravotto. "He has had a positive impact on our student athletes by developing hem into leaders on and off the field. He is a Marian alumnus and very invested in Marian's mission of learn, serve, lead."
"Finding a new coach will be challenging with the void that Coach Davidson leaves. We will be leaning on Mike for his guidance as the search for a new coach begins. On behalf of Marian High School, I would like to thank Coach Davidson for all the time and effort he has put into the football program."
