Marshall County man with history of stalking arrested

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- In an Affidavit for Probable Cause from the Marshall County Superior Court, Timothy Lawrence has been charged with Stalking, a Level 5 Felony, Stalking, a Level 6 Felony, and eight counts of Invasion of Privacy, all misdemeanors.
Starting in September 2023 and continuing through December, Lawrence harassed a woman he had previously had a romantic relationship with and with whom he had children.
This harassment included rocks thrown at the victim's vehicle, boxes left outside the victim's home with insulting labels, requesting an unfounded welfare check on the victim, banging on the victim's door after showing up uninvited at 9 p.m., and many voice and text messages.
The victim requested a protective order in December 2023, which was granted in January 2024. Lawrence contacted the victim that same day over text acknowledging he knew about the order.
The order allows an exception for discussions of parenting time for the children in common but otherwise prohibits Lawrence from entering or staying at the victim's address or otherwise threatening, stalking, or harassing the victim.
Since then and continuing from February 2024 to June 2025, Lawrence has continued to harass the victim, as documented by numerous police reports.
This harassment included numerous demeaning text messages outside the allowed topics, Lawrence showing up at places the victim is known to go, Lawrence nearly running the victim's child off the road, attempting to hit the victim and her children in a high school parking lot, and making verbal threats, threatening the victim during custody exchanges, and further contact after Lawrence's parenting time was suspended.
