MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- Michiana farmers often have to plan for a wet, cold start to spring planting season, but this years has been a welcomed anomaly. Clay Geyer started planting corn on April 27 and finished May 1.
Last year, Geyer didn't started planting until June 3. its not just the lack of rainfall that has been helping farmers, the windy days earlier this season also helped dry the soil. Now that Geyer has wrapped up planting, he's ready for the rain to return to Michiana.
