SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Folks celebrated their Latino heritage Sunday at the Michiana Latin Fest

There was live music and delicious food at Island Park.

Organizers say this celebration is open to everyone so they can come and see what the Latino community is all about.

"We want the whole Michiana Community to know that the Latino community is here and there are organizations that are willing to empower the Latino community," Felix Marquez said.

Several Latino non-profit groups were highlighted during Sunday's event included the Hispanic Leadership Coalition and La Casa de Amistad.
