SOUTH BEND, Ind – Michiana is beginning to thaw out and recover from the deep freeze.
“I’m glad it’s warming up,” Michiana resident Randall Miller said.
Michiana saw temperatures as low as 20 below with winch chills even lower.
Those temperatures led to some businesses closing, most schools closing, and advisories from both state and city governments, along with some residents experiencing frozen pipes.
“well everyone needs to still be vigilant you know when things start thawing out that’s when things break and lead so everybody needs to keep their eye on the pipes and make sure they don’t incur any leaks,” Mishawaka resident Andrew Williams said.
