In Michigan's gubernatorial race, incumbent Gretchen Whitmer has won re-election.
She gained most of the votes in the race against Republican Tudor Dixon, Libertarian Mary Buzuma, and Green Party's Kevin Hogan
Gretchen Whitmer's running mate is Garlin Gilchrist II.
Whitmer has a bachelor's degree and a law degree from Michigan State University. She has previously been in the Michigan House of Representatives, Michigan State Senate and was the Ingham County prosecutor.
Dixon has a bachelor's degree from the University of Kentucky. She is a businesswoman and working mother of four girls. She worked in Michigan's steel industry throughout the 2000s.
Mary Buzuma is running for governor as a Libertarian. She retired after serving 26 years with the US Navy and is the former State Chair of the Libertarian Party of Michigan.
Kevin Hogan is a retired research biochemist and retired substitute public school teacher. He attended the University of Michigan and studied biochemistry and psychology.
