A repeat of yesterday; warmer weather tomorrow
Michigan’s Redistricting Commission asked the state Supreme Court to push back the November 1st deadline to complete new political maps for the state.
The panel authorized the legal step on Friday, citing an 8-month delay in data from the U.S. Census Bureau.
Federal officials blamed operational delays during the 2020 census that were caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
