Michigan State Police investigate Benton Harbor armed robbery

Michigan State Troopers responded to a call regarding an armed robbery at the Riverside Food Mart in Benton Harbor at approximately 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

Police say the suspect had entered the business and robbed the clerk at gun point, taking cash and cigarettes. 

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 30s or early 40s who is approximately 5-foot-8. 

Sources say the suspect has a medium build and was wearing a gray Michigan State University hooded sweatshirt, a dark baseball cap, black pants, sandals, and thin eyeglasses.
