MISHAWAKA, Ind.-- Armed with sings and celebratory honks, expectant mother Britany Wilmot and her boyfriend, Tyler Rader, got a surprise they will never forget.

“Due to covid-19, everything was canceled. I was supposed to have a really big shower. It’s a music venue it was going to be amazing," said mom-to-be, Britany Wilmot.

The Cornavirus pandemic forced her original plans for a huge baby shower to celebrate their incoming baby boy, Cameron.

“I felt horrible for her. I could see her becoming more and more depressed. We had to do something," said future grandmother, Kathleen Wilmot.

“She had people decorate their cars, signs and honk. Drop off gifts in the bin," said Britany.

The pandemic, along with doctors saying that Wilmot wouldn’t be able to have children made Sunday's drive-thru surprise that much more special, but the shower wasn't over after the drive-thru.

Britany, Tyler and close family taking to Facebook live to open gifts—social distancing style.

“I can’t explain it. I’ll never forget it. I can’t wait to explain this to my son when he’s old enough to understand. It’s going to be crazy," said Britany.

Britany due date is May 24th, so the next thing on her mind is to be able to give birth with family around.

With improvements across Indiana in the fight against coronavirus, she’s hopeful that will be the case.
