Mishawaka Fire Department hosts free car seat safety event

A free car seat safety check will be held at the Mishawaka Fire Department between 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 4.
Technicians from the department and nurses from Memorial Children’s Hospital will host the event at Fire Station No. 4 located at 3000 Harrison Road.
The department asks anyone attending the event to arrive with children in their car seats for inspection of proper fitting and installation.
Inspections will be conducted by Fire Marshall George Schafer, Wendy Nash and certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians from the hospital.
