Mishawaka man sentenced for sexual misconduct with a minor

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- A Mishawaka man who said he had inappropriate sexual contact with a minor because his wife wouldn’t have sex with him has been sentenced, according to court records.

Elliott Ewing pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual misconduct with a minor, child exploitation and dissemination of matter harmful to minors as part of a plea agreement. The rape and child molesting charges were dismissed.

Ewing was sentenced to 12 years in prison for each count of sexual misconduct, 6 years for his conviction of child exploitation and 2 years 180 days for dissemination of matter harmful to minors.

His sentences are set to be served concurrently for a total of 12 years in prison.

Ewing was arrested on December 27, 2019 and charges were filed three days later.
