Mishawaka Police investigating serious injury crash

MISHAWAKA, Ind. – The Mishawaka Police Department is investigating a motor vehicle crash on North 1st Street on Thursday night that left one person in critical condition.
Around 10 p.m., a Chevy Silverado was seen backing up out of a driveway and taking off quickly, striking a parked Dodge Caravan and a mobile home, reports said.
The driver of the Silverado was treated by Mishawaka Fire/EMS on scene for head and neck injuries and taken to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
The cause of this crash remains under investigation.
