Mishawaka rail road crossing closed after a crash involving a car and train

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Motorists should avoid the Canadian National Rail Road Crossing on McKinley Avenue between Filbert Road and Merrifield Drive, the Mishawaka Police Department said.

This closure is due to repairs needed following a crash involving a car and train. No injuries were reported because of the crash.

Canadian National is hoping to complete the repairs by late Sunday and reopen the crossing to traffic, officers said.
