MISHAWAKA, Ind. – Mishawaka firefighters, police, and the Humane Society worked for several hours Wednesday evening to rescue a kitten from a storm drain.
The firefighters worked for two hours to lure the kitten from the drain.
The St. Joseph County Humane Society provided officials with a cage and they set it up so the kitten could wander in.
A few hours later, a Mishawaka Police officer checked up on the baby cat and it was waiting in the cage for him.
The officer took the black-and-white feline to the station to rehydrate and bathe it.
The cat is at the Humane Society on Grape Road waiting for a fur-ever home.
