Missing 5-year-old found dead in pond at Shanklin Park

GOSHEN, Ind. -- A missing 5-year-old was found deceased in a body of water at Shanklin Park Friday afternoon, according to Goshen Police.
The boy was first reported missing to police at 12:04 p.m. and officers were dispatched to the park.
At 12:09 p.m., a Goshen Parks employee located the boy in a body of water and started CPR.
Goshen Police took over CPR until medics responded to the scene.
The boy was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Goshen Police and the Elkhart County Homicide Unit are investigating.
