Motorcyclist sustains serious injuries in crash on Douglas and Grape

MISHAWAKA, Ind.-- A motorcycle was involved in a crash on Douglas and Grape on Wednesday, according to law enforcement officials.
Police were sent to the intersection of Douglas and Grape at 8:40 a.m. Wednesday for reports of a crash involving an SUV and a motorcycle.
A female driver in the SUV was not injured but the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to the Mishawaka Police Department.
The roads in the area were shutdown as police investigated the crash and removed the vehicles.
The intersection reopened around 11 a.m.
