Motorcyclist killed in Elkhart on CR22

ELKHART, Ind. -- A motorcyclist was killed on CR22 just south of CR28 Sunday afternoon.
The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department says 32-year-old Billy Joe Johnson was traveling southwest on CR 22 when he veered off the road at a curve and into a utility pole.
He suffered severe head injuries.
It is unknown if he was wearing a helmet.
