SOUTH BEND, Ind.-- Wednesday afternoon, ABC57 reporters visited La Casa de Amistad to discuss the bilingual FAFSA workshops.

This series of workshops provides teens and parents with assistance in understanding the FAFSA process and the cost of tuition when deciding which university to attend.

Juan Constantino, CEO of La Casa de Amistad, told ABC57 the importance of making sure that all students and families understand how to navigate the FAFSA process.

"We want to make sure we invite all of our families to take advantage of the FAFSA workshops." Juan tells ABC57. "It's critical that we're pushing higher education access for all of our students, but especially our Latino families, that these workshops will be entirely bilingual."

Wednesday's workshop was not the only one planned for the year; there are plans for more FAFSA workshops throughout the rest of the calendar year.

The remainder of the workshops will be held on Nov. 5 and 12, and Dec. 3 and 9.
