Multiple wintery threats today

Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Berrien, Cass, and St. Joseph MI Counties as well as Northern LaPorte, St. Joseph, and Elkhart IN Counties. This Advisory will be in effect until 7pm tonight. A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect for all of our Indiana counties through 9 AM tomorrow. The cold front sweeping through last night brought a wind shift, with lake effect snow expected through the day particularly for southwest Michigan. Snow accumulation through this system will likely bring over 6 inches to areas in Berrien County, around 3 inches to South Bend, everywhere north of US 30 seeing at least an inch. Even when we aren't expecting the snow, all of us will see frigid conditions, wind chill values in the negative double digits, potentially through tomorrow morning. Some sun Tuesday with a slight warm up into the middle of the week, snow on Wednesday and another drop in temperatures, lows in the negative at the end of the week.

Today (MLK Jr. Day): Falling temperatures and lake effect snow through the day. Wind chill values close to -10 at the coldest during the day. High 10.
Tonight: Snow tapers off, dangerously cold, wind chill -10. Low 2.
Tuesday: Dangerously cold morning, feels like temperatures in the negative single digits. Some sun, windy. High 18.
Wednesday: Warmer, widespread snow. High 30.
