Murder suspect now in police custody

SOUTH BEND, Ind. --- The man wanted in the murder of a South Bend mother is currently in police custody.

44-year-old Manuel Clemon was taken into custody by Chicago police. St. Joseph County prosecutors filed murder charges against Clemon on Friday for stabbing 42-year-old Deshone Caradine to death. Clemon is Caradine's ex-boyfriend and the father of one of her kids.

Caradine's body was found in her apartment Wednesday. Her car was later found at a Chicago bank. No word on when Clemon will be brought to South Bend.
