National Day of Remembrance for murder victims

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- September 25 is National Day of Remembrance. This a day to remember those who lost their lives to due to murder and give families a chance to honor their memories.

Starting in 2007, September 25 has been declared as National Day of Remembrance.

At this event there will be an unveiling of mobile art display created by students and artists who have been impacted by violence. After this event the exhibit will travel locally.

Beginning at 1:00 p.m. city leaders will gather at the County City Building to honor Brandon Williams as well 134 people other victims murdered in South Bend over the past decade. 

Starting at 2:30 p.m. there will be a T-shirt display commemorating victims of homicide over the past ten years in South Bend at Howard Park

Half an hour later at 3:00 p.m. a bench in remembrance of Brandon Williams that commemorates the victims of the July 23, 2019 Kelly’s Pub shooting.
