After closure in 2020, YMCA reopens in downtown
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The League of Women Voters of South Bend teamed up with the St. Joseph County Public Library in sponsoring an event on Tuesday encouraging people to register to vote.
The event took place at the Main and LaSalle branches. The event ran from 4-8 p.m.
Elizabeth Bennion, Director of Voter Services and Education for the South Bend Area League, said in a statement:
“The League and the St. Joseph County Public Library share a commitment to fostering an informed and engaged community. The League invites all local citizens to register to vote, update their registration, or confirm their registration status on National Voter Registration Day.”
National Voter Registration Day events were held nationwide.
October 7 is the deadline to register for the November 5 municipal election.
