Near drowning in LaPorte

Around 7:30 Tuesday night, LaPorte County EMS was called to the 4900 block of Schultz Road for a possible child drowning.
Before responders arrived on scene, the 3-year-old girl was taken from a pool and CPR was administered.
By the time first responders got there, the child was breathing by herself and crying.
She was taken to IU Health LaPorte Hospital as a precaution.
The incident is still under investigation.
