SOUTH BEND, Ind -- Dozens of volunteers gathered at Kennedy park this morning to clean up several neighborhoods streets including Rogers, Bertrand, Olive, Richardson, and Crafts streets. This initiative was created by South Bend council woman Ophelia Gooden- Rodgers.
The event aims to give back to the community and encourage neighborhood associations to take over initiatives like these. The neighborhood clean ups have been happening for the past 2 years and some people have participated in almost 4 of these clean up efforts.
