New Carlisle Fire Department's new tanker increases water supply in areas without hydrants

New Carlisle Fire Department

NEW CARLISLE, Ind. -- The New Carlisle Fire Department announced crew members ceremonially pushed their new Tanker 91 into its bay Tuesday, officially symbolizing its readiness to serve the community.

Fire officials say Tanker 91 is a 2025 Pierce on a Freightliner chassis, equipped with a 3,000-gallon water tank and a 1,250 GPM pump, which boosts the department's water supply capability in areas without hydrants.

The department also released a video of the long-held tradition.
