When officers arrived they found 50-year-old Laurie Ann Pagagna face down in the ice and snow next to a vehicle.
She appeared to have been in the elements for several hours, according to the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety.
A forensic autopsy determined Pagagna died of an enlarged heart and her death was from natural causes.
