New Jersey town hall meeting gets heated

PATERSON, N.J. -- A town hall meeting that Governor Chris Christie attended got a little heated Tuesday night.

The meeting in Paterson, New Jersey was where Christie held a question and answer session with residents.

The meeting turned into a shouting match over public education.

The state has taken over the state's struggling school system.

"The state intervened in order to stop the students from being treated like second class citizens," said Christie.

When Christie tried to defend why the state stepped in residents kept fighting back.
