New VA Clinic on fast track to helping local vets

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- If you've driven through downtown South Bend lately, you may have noticed the work going on at the old Gates Toyota building.
That's where the new VA Clinic is being built.
On Thursday, we spoke to the Office of Community and Economic Development.
The clinic will offer expanded mental health care and several outreach programs.
On Wednesday night, during the State of the City, Mayor Buttigieg said the clinic will start serving patients next month.
