South Bend International Airport bars waiting on front drive as construction continues

ABC 57

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- If you're flying in to or out of the South Bend International Airport in the near future, there's a traffic change you need to be aware of.

The airport announced that waiting is no longer permitted on the front drive. This is as the airport undergoes construction. If you are picking up a passenger, you're asked to follow signage to the cellphone lots. The person you're picking up will be asked to call you when they're ready. You will then be able to swing over to the drive and quickly pick them up.

If you're dropping someone off, you're asked to go to the curb.

Airport staff will be up front to help traffic flow.
