BRISTOL, Ind. -- NIPSCO crews are working on re-lights for multiple homes after a gas line break in Bristol.

This happened today, May 13, at 7:40 a.m. NIPSCO officials say they were made aware of a third-party bore hit on the 5300 block of Monticola Lane. Crews arrived shortly thereafter to make necessary repairs. Out of an abundance of cautions, four homes were evacuated. Gas was shut off in the area later in the morning.

Re-lights for the 14 customers impacted by this shutoff are underway. The goal is to restore service by this afternoon.
