North Judson receives $140k grant for new trail construction

STARKE COUNTY, Ind. -- The Town of North Judson is one of five recipients of the biennial Indiana Trails Program (ITP) grants totaling $1.7 million to bring more trails for Hoosiers across the state.

In an announcement from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Thursday, $1.7 million will be given out to five Indiana communities to assist in constructing a total of 4.12 miles in trails.

The Town of North Judson will receive $140,000 for its Hidden Field Trail, which will be half a mile long.

Other communities include $400,000 for the Carmel Clay Parks and Recreation Department's White River Greenway, $400,000 for the City of Fort Wayne's Fishing Line Trail, $386,827.80 for the Hamilton County Parks and Recreation Department's Bur Oak Bend Trails, and $376,496 for Hancock County's NineStar Park Trail.
